In alignment with the principles of internationalization as defined by Knight (2003) and Knight and de Wit (1997), Central Mindanao Colleges (CMC) continues to integrate international, intercultural, and global dimensions into its educational framework. Section 2 of CMO 55 s. 2016 further highlights the two pillars of internationalization: home-based and cross-border. CMC has actively engaged in home-based internationalization through various collaborations and linkages with foreign higher education institutions (HEIs), utilizing information technology to foster global interactions without requiring stakeholders to leave national borders. Recently, the CIAL organized a final briefing for the CMC Graduate School Delegation in preparation for their scheduled home-based academic and cultural exposure in Bacolod City. This event aims to provide the delegation with a comprehensive understanding of the activities and objectives of the exposure program. During the briefing, the participants were given detailed information about the itinerary, key cultural sites, and academic institutions they will visit. The program includes interactions with local HEIs, enabling the delegation to share best practices and explore potential collaborations. This exposure trip is designed to enrich the academic and cultural experiences of the participants, broadening their perspectives and enhancing their professional development. The briefing session also included a discussion on the expected outcomes of the trip, emphasizing the importance of integrating the knowledge gained into their respective academic and administrative roles. Participants were encouraged to actively engage in dialogues and activities during the trip to maximize the benefits of this exposure program. The CMC Graduate School Delegation's upcoming trip to Bacolod City represents a significant step towards strengthening home-based internationalization efforts. By participating in this academic and cultural exposure, CMC reaffirms its commitment to fostering a globally interconnected academic environment, preparing its stakeholders to navigate and contribute to the ever-evolving landscape of higher education. With the guidance and support of CIAL, CMC looks forward to further expanding its internationalization initiatives, aspiring to engage more in cross-border activities. This continuous effort ensures that CMC remains at the forefront of global educational advancements, benefiting its students, faculty, and the wider academic community.
