CMC JOURNALISTS ADVANCE TO RSPC!

Campus journalists from The Central Chroniclers (TCC), the official Senior High School publication of Central Mindanao Colleges (CMC), clinched several awards at the Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) 2026 on September 3–4, held at Kidapawan City Pilot Elementary School, qualifying spots at the Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) 2026.

Leading the individual categories, Gerald Organas secured 2nd place in Photojournalism, while Venus Angela Cortez placed 3rd in News Writing. Moreover, John Michael Sordella also earned 3rd place in Kartung Pang-Editoryal, while Mhell Shye Anne Velasco finished 5th place in Pagsusulat ng Lathalain.

CMC Chroniclers further strengthened their presence in the Radio Broadcasting - Filipino category, with Zesna Lee Aranas, Adrian James Medina, Alexa Fe Quimpan, Prince Zhairus Condez, Jhaynica Franchine Hapay, Khezea Keren Montaño, and Rhonna Mae Rañises showcasing their skills behind the microphone and broadcasting production.

Adding to the team's triumph, Montaño was recognized as Best News Presenter, while the team also earned award for Best Technical Director, Best Infomercial, and Best Script.

The Chroniclers' victories marked their dedication, perseverance, and growing mastery in journalism — transforming their skills in writing, photojournalism, and broadcasting into distinctions that brought pride to CMC.

With their hard-earned achievements, the qualifiers now set their sight on the RSPC 2026, which will be held at Midsayap, North Cotabato, where they will compete alongside top student journalists from across the region.
