Lead Like the Babaylan: Empowering Women. Advancing Equality. Shaping the Future.

Why Babaylan? Because the Babaylan embodies the original Filipina leader, a woman of wisdom, courage, and spiritual authority who guided communities long before modern institutions were formed.

She was a healer, mediator, educator, and decision maker, a symbol of empowered leadership rooted in culture, integrity, and service.

To lead like the Babaylan is to lead with resilience, compassion, and transformative strength. It is a call to rise, to reclaim influence, and to shape the future with fearless purpose.

This March 1 to 31, 2026, Central Mindanao Colleges proudly joins the nation in celebrating National Women’s Month, a powerful affirmation of women’s leadership, resilience, and transformative influence in every sector of society.

Inspired by the spirit of the Babaylan, we recognize the strength of Filipinas who lead with wisdom, courage, and purpose. Their voices shape institutions, uplift communities, and drive meaningful change across generations.

As an educational institution committed to excellence and equity, CMC reaffirms its dedication to advancing gender responsive leadership and inclusive development.

We stand firmly aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 5 Gender Equality, SDG 4 Quality Education, and SDG 10 Reduced Inequalities, strengthening our resolve to create inclusive spaces where women lead without barriers and where equality drives sustainable progress for our nation.

This celebration is not merely ceremonial. It is a declaration of who we are and what we stand for. When women rise, institutions evolve.

When women lead, communities thrive. And when equality becomes culture, transformation becomes inevitable.

The commitment begins with us, and the future responds to the courage we choose today.
