Mindanao Colleges (CMC) was officially recognized during the “Ranked &
Recognized: A Celebration of Philippine Higher Education Excellence” held on
June 20, 2025, at the CHED Auditorium, Quezon City. The event honored
outstanding higher education institutions nationwide for their contributions to
academic excellence and sustainable development. Ms. Trisha Karl J. Rellon,
Officer of the Center for Student Success, accepted the recognition on behalf
of the College.
The program featured a keynote message from Atty. Cinderella Filipina S.
Benitez-Jaro, Executive Director of CHED, followed by regional presentations
from CHED directors including Atty. Septon De la Cruz (CHED CAR), Dr. Arlita
Amapola Minguez (CHEDRO X), Dr. Demetrio Anduyan Jr. (CHEDRO V), and Dr. Jimmy
Catanes (CHED NCR).
A congratulatory message was delivered by Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis, Chairperson,
and a commitment address by Rev. Fr. Roberto C. Yap, SJ, President of Ateneo de
Manila University. Closing remarks were given by Atty. Lily Freida M. Milla,
CESO III, Director of the International Affairs Service.
This milestone affirms CMC’s deep commitment to SDG 4: Quality Education,
ensuring that students receive inclusive, equitable, and transformative
learning experiences. Simultaneously, CMC advances SDG 17: Partnerships for the
Goals by building strategic collaborations with local and international
institutions, strengthening academic exchange, shared research, and community
development.
As CMC continues aligning with global goals, this recognition highlights its
role as a future-ready institution promoting leadership, collaboration,
and impact.
