PRISM’s New Officers Take Oath for a Sustainable Future

 

In a momentous gathering that celebrated purpose, passion, and promise, the newly selected officers of PRISM—Passionate, Responsive Individuals for Strategic Internationalization towards Sustainable Development in Mindanao—officially took their oath of office on June 28, 2025, at Central Mindanao Colleges (CMC). This marked the beginning of a bold new chapter for student leadership in the realm of internationalization and sustainable development.

 

PRISM, the official student arm of the Center for International Affairs and Linkages (CIAL), has long been a training ground for globally minded student leaders. Its core mission is rooted in academic diplomacy, strategic partnerships, and the advancement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—not only within the CMC community, but across borders.

 

The ceremony brought together both incoming and outgoing officers, along with their dedicated advisers, in a symbolic passing of the torch—honoring the organization’s legacy while embracing the future. More than a ceremonial rite, the oath-taking served as a powerful declaration of intent: a commitment to global awareness, intercultural engagement, and community-building through strategic linkages.

 

The presence of former PRISM officers provided a strong sense of continuity and inspiration as they shared insights and words of encouragement, reminding the new officers of the enduring values that guide their leadership journey. Both outgoing and incoming advisers emphasized a shared message: PRISM is not just an organization—it is a movement of youth empowered to lead, connect, and make meaningful impact.

 

As CMC continues to strengthen its international collaborations and SDG-aligned initiatives, PRISM remains at the forefront—serving as ambassadors of the institution’s mission for quality education, peace-building, sustainability, and global cooperation.

 

This leadership transition signals the beginning of a vibrant journey. The new PRISM officers are now entrusted to lead with integrity, inspire through action, and connect with purpose—locally and globally. Their oath is more than a promise—it is a bold step forward in transforming vision into reality.
